Moderate uphill hike..couple of miles from road; classic rock wall mountain behind lake; nice place to backpack into..day trip or camp overnite; some wild life; hiked in here in summer and early spring when 1 - 2' of snow on ground (and melt was rushing down mountain side beneath snow...flowers growing in ground beneath crystal clear runoff (beneath snow...quite a site).Didn't catch any fish during August trips. Last time I was in there was the 1970's. Says
This lake is one of the great places here in the Sawtooth Range. Marsh Creek has a close by whitewater sweep; the State Highway 21 to Middle Fork Salmon sector is a wonderful 6-mile-long class II-III sweep of whitewater.
