You'll in fact wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool things in the Salmon River Mountains.       You're probably interested in lakes, Anns Lake is one of those nearby, and if you came for an overnight stay Burgdorf Campground is a brilliant spot to camp. Lake Rock Lake is pretty arid usually; May is the month that gets the most rain while July is mostly the driest month. Camping at Lake Rock Lake is pleasant fun, Chinook Campground is a pleasant local campground, and AmericInn McCall is a nice location to get some rest. That right there is heaps already,                  but it continues; Lake Rock Lake has it all. If the weather is pretty, you get a fine view of Diamond Rock from Lake Rock Lake, and get your heart beating on the fine whitewater of Payette River - North Fork.
