     Lake Creek Lakes is located in the Clearwater Mountains. And if that's not enough there's heaps more fun stuff to do in the Clearwater Mountains. A delightful location to camp here at Lake Creek Lakes is Bruin Creek Campground, and glide down the rapids of Selway River in a kayak. Now, you may assume that's lots but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here in the Clearwater Mountains. If you come at the right time of year, Salmon River offers some wonderful  
   whitewater.
You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors enjoyable things the area in the vicinity of Lake Creek Lakes has to offer. You could also pop by Goat Lake since you're here at Lake Creek Lakes; it's nearby, and on a good day you can take a hike along the Nez Perce Trail. Near Lake Creek Lakes you hit upon the Old Nez Perce Indian Trail which is a wonderful hiking trail, and the panorama of Center Mountain is delightful. During the long summer
 
               days here at Lake Creek Lakes, high temperatures regularly reach the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 40's. For the duration of the winter highs are typically in the 30's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Lake Creek Lakes dip into the 10's.
An average amount of rainfall falls at Lake Creek Lakes; the month of January is the wettest with most of the snow while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. Lake Creek Lakes is not the only location close by, Rattlesnake Lake is a close by lake; the Chamberlain Trail is a tremendous hiking trail nearby. Camping is available at Poet Creek Campground, and close by you hit upon Dead Man Saddle which is a perfect spot to have a look at.

Red River Campground is in a fairly open flat area with a? creek suitable for bathing running through it. Also fire pits, outhouses and sites spaced far apart for adequate privacy. Some sites have a tree or two nearby for shade....
