Be careful coming to Lake Creek Lakes, you might not ever want to go home again. You get a brilliant view of Center Mountain from Lake Creek Lakes. Through the days of summer here at Lake Creek Lakes, high temperatures frequently reach the 80's,                  and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. During the wintertime highs are generally in the 30's, and after the sun is down throughout the wintertime temperatures at Lake Creek Lakes sink into the 10's. Salmon River has a fine whitewater paddling spot close by; a good place to camp here at Lake Creek Lakes is Poet Creek Campground. And if that's not enough there's a heap more cool stuff to do in the Clearwater Mountains. On a splendid day at Lake Creek Lakes you can take a hike along the Nez Perce Trail; you might also want to pay a visit to Dead Man Saddle if you're here at Lake Creek Lakes.
