Go to Kettle Lake if you want to go to a nice lake. This lake is one of the great places here in the Clearwater Mountains. An average amount of precipitation falls at Kettle Lake; most of the snow falls during January while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Be careful coming to the Clearwater Mountains, you might not ever want to return home again. If the weather is beautiful, you get a delightful view of Chimney Peak from Kettle Lake.

| | You'll need more than a day to look at everything Kettle Lake has to offer, you can camp at Race Creek Campground.
A magnificent location like Old Man Meadows here at Kettle Lake is too good to miss. There's so much to do here at Kettle Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Race Track Campground is a delightful place for that. This lake is so wonderful. a wonderful site is Jesse Pass. And that's not all you can do here at Kettle Lake. Have a good hiking adventure along the Anderson Butte National Recreation Trail; why not take a refreshing hike along the East Boyd Glover Roundtop
National Recreation Trail.
High temperatures at Kettle Lake during the days of summer are in the 80's with night lows in the 50's. During the wintertime the highs are commonly in the 30's, and nighttime lows during the wintertime
for Kettle Lake tend to be in the 20's. That right there is plenty of exciting stuff already but it goes on, the Clearwater Mountains has it all. There are some magnificent whitewater spots on Lochsa River, and do take a hike on the Meadow Creek National Recreation Trail.
