Be careful coming to Kettle Lake, you might not ever want to go home again. Places like Old Man Meadows are perfect to have a look at, and the view of picturesque Chimney Peak is tremendous. This is a perfect region for people who like lakes. Rainbow Lake is a lake close by, and camping at Race Track Campground is always a perfect experience. Summer at Kettle Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. Summer nighttime       lows sink down to the 50's. Through the wintertime highs are ordinarily in the 30's with temperatures at Kettle Lake dipping down into the 20's during winter nights. The Clearwater Mountains scenery is always beautiful. This lake is so wonderful. Kettle Lake gets a normal amount of rainfall; January is the month that gets the most snow; the driest month is July. All year is a great time in the Clearwater Mountains if you like the outdoors. Jesse Pass is                  in the neighborhood of Kettle Lake and is a fine place, and you can run the rapids of Lochsa River. Nearby lakes? Sure, Old Man Lake is close to Kettle Lake, and don't leave Kettle Lake without first going for a hike along the Meadow Creek National Recreation Trail. Life's too short to enjoy all the cool things in the Clearwater Mountains. There's glorious hiking along the Anderson Butte National Recreation Trail, and a good place for whitewater paddling is Lochsa River. This lake is so wonderful.
