The Crestline Trail offers hiking at its best, and of course, this is a good region for folks who like lakes, Big Hazard Lake is a lake close by. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors entertaining stuff the Salmon River Mountains has to offer. Not much precipitation falls       here at Kenneth Lake; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain; July meanwhile is the driest month. The Salmon River Mountains scenery is always beautiful. For the duration of the long summer days, highs generally are in the 90's at Kenneth Lake. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's; after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Kenneth Lake fall into                  the 20's. Why not camp at Upper Payette Lake Campground since you're here at Kenneth Lake, and Big Dave Creek is close to Kenneth Lake and is always a bliss to visit. This lake is so wonderful. There's glorious hiking along the Broken Leg Trail; get your heart pumping on the wonderful whitewater of Payette River - North Fork.
