Sure, Granite Lake is close by, and don't leave Kelso Lake without first going for a hike along the English Point National Recreation Trail. At Kelso Lake during the long summer days highs are in the 80's, and all through the night it cools down to the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Kelso Lake temperatures descend       to the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. A good spot to camp here at Kelso Lake is Kelso Lake Resort, and you can go for a hike on the Leiberg-Athol Trail. So much enjoyable stuff close to Kelso Lake, definitely unbelievable. The slopes of Schweitzer are so inviting noone can resist, and dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites HAYDEN-COEUR D'ALENE NORTH. The annual rain here at Kelso Lake is about average; most of the snow falls through                  December while July is commonly the driest month. If you need a location to stay Comfort Inn Coeur D'alene is a splendid choice; drift down the rapids of Priest River in a kayak.
