This lake is one of the great places here in the Bitterroot Range. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Kelly Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Clearwater Crossing Campground is a delightful place for that, and magnificent hiking is available along the State Line Trail. All year is a great time in the Bitterroot Range if you like the outdoors. If you need a location to stay Super 8 Motel - St. Regis is a nice choice, and hiking

| | is a popular thing to do around Kelly Lake; Colgate Licks Nature National Recreation Trail is a great local trail.
But wait, there's more to do next to Kelly Lake. Kelly Lake is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Wendover Campground is a tremendous local campground, and not far from Kelly Lake you'll come across Mud Lake which is a striking lake. Lake gets very little precipitation; January is when you get the most snow here; the driest of the months is July.
A nice site for whitewater paddling in the neighborhood of Kelly Lake is Lochsa River, and the Granite Ridge Trail
offers hiking at its best. For the duration of the warm months at Kelly Lake temperatures are mostly in the 80's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's generally in the 40's. All through the winter this place gets highs in
the 30's while the cold winter nights at Kelly Lake are in the 10's. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining stuff in the Bitterroot Range.
