So many amusing things to do in the Salmon River Mountains, not enough time. On a delightful day you obtain a sight of Squaw Point from Josephine Lake, and nearby you hit upon the Lava Butte Trail which is a delightful hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful. Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Mccall-The Hunt Lodge, Id is a magnificent site to get some rest, and the Crestline Trail is a magnificent hiking       trail nearby. There's no way anybody can get bored here in the Salmon River Mountains. You must unquestionably dedicate some time to Frosty Meadows while you're here at Josephine Lake. Lakes? Sure, Little Summit Lake is in close proximity. If you came for an overnight stay Burgdorf Campground is a pleasant spot to camp, and there's whitewater on Payette River - North Fork for all you adrenaline junkies. It is very dried out here at Josephine Lake mostly;                  the wettest month of the year is generally May, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month of the year is July. Josephine Lake truly is in the middle of a charming outdoors paradise. Upper Payette Campground is a good campground nearby, and Nethker Lake is a pleasant lake close by. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors AmericInn McCall is a splendid site to spend a night or two. Through the summer highs here at Josephine Lake reach the 90's while overnight lows are typically in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Josephine Lake.
