Johnson Reservoir is always a pleasure to visit. Johnson Reservoir is nice enough to spend more than a day at, Cub River Canyon Guest Ranch is a nice local campground; soar down the rapids of Bear River in a kayak. This lake is so wonderful. If you're going to Johnson Reservoir from Logan, you won't be the only one, and going for a hike along the Bloomington Lake Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area.

| | one place! Johnson Reservoir is great! Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites LOGAN is a nice spot to get some rest, and Lamont Reservoir is a fine lake nearby. Dry warm beds await you at Crystal Inn Logan, and a lovely lake like Glendale Reservoir is a delightful place to visit. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at High Creek Campground is always a brilliant experience; Preston Golf & Country Club is a splendid golf course nearby.

little rainfall; May is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month of the year is August. Summer at Johnson Reservoir arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 40's. All through
the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's, and after the sun is down all through the wintertime temperatures at Johnson Reservoir sink into the 10's. Have a great hiking adventure along the High Line Trail; if you're interested in hydro structures, you can stop by Johnson Dam.

Bloomington Lake Trail

...ngton Canyon on the West Side of the Bear Lake Valley. The canyon road is accessed off of Highway 89 in the community of Bloomington. It is approximately 11 miles to the top of the canyon and parking area. The road is dirt and gravel and suitable for most passenger cars. It is a short trail to the lake where you will be rewarded with a beautiful high mountain lake with high surrounding cliffs.
There are many trails the lead off from the canyon and connect to other surrounding canyons. One of the more notable trails is the Highline Trail. This is an approximate 60 mile trail that runs north and south along the ridge line of the mountains. The trail can be accessed at many point including the top of Bloomington Canyon. At the parking area the road continues a bit futher west and the road turns into a trail that leads up to the ridge. Your can travel north or south with the south direction being the most spectacular The Highline Trail is popular with hikers, horses, mountain bikers, ATV's and motorcycles. We floated the Wayland Hot Springs to the Weston Bridge. You cannot put in downriver from the Highway 91 bridge anymore. However you can cross the highway and park and put in at the Riverside RV and trailer park. They have a boat ramp and a great place to camp. About a half mile above Squaw Hotsprings, a fence has been hung across the river, watch out that you don't snag your head, duck! After that there really is no obstructions until you get to the diverson about 2 miles above the Weston Bridge. Run this right down the middle.
