The beauty of John Lake is reason enough to stop by. A lake close by is Mary Lake, and Little Salmon River is a magnificent whitewater spot nearby. Camping at Allison Creek Campground is always a magnificent experience; a tremendous nearby hotel is Best Western Salmon Rapids Lodge. If only every site had this much outdoors exciting things, what a great globe it would be. Camping is available at Hazard Campground; everyone loves Devils Hole. Just can't get

| | enough of the Salmon River Mountains. John Lake is not the only spot close by, Gay Lake is a close by lake, and Patrick Butte is pretty and can be distinguished from here. The Salmon River Mountains scenery is always beautiful. And if that's not sufficient there's a lot more enjoyable things to do in the Salmon River Mountains. The Lava Butte Trail offers hiking at its best, and Whitetail Club and Resort is a brilliant spot to get some rest. Not much precipitation | |

falls here at John Lake; during May this area sees the most rain, and July is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. High temperatures at John Lake all through the summer are in the 90's; the overnight is a tad colder of
course, commonly in the 50's. During the winter highs are in the 40's with temperatures at John Lake dipping down into the 20's during winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Broken Leg
Trail, and in the event that you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Hard Creek.
