There's wonderful hiking along the Batt Trail, and if you come at the right time of year, Bruneau River - West Fork offers some great whitewater. Don't leave James Lake without first going for a hike along the Cedar Tree Trail, and soar down the rapids of Marys Creek in a kayak. James Lake gets very little rainfall; most of the rain falls all through November while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation.       Just can't get enough of James Lake. You're probably into lakes, Twin Lakes is one of those nearby; if you've had enough of James Lake, Long Lake is close by. Summertime highs at James Lake commonly tend to be in the 90's while overnight lows are generally in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's with temperatures at James Lake dipping down into the 20's through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful.
