In Idaho there are many beautiful lakes, James Lake is one of them. Here at James Lake there are plenty of folks from Mountain Home; there's perfect hiking along the Batt Trail. It is very dehydrated here at James Lake usually; the month with most of the rain is November; July is the month with the least moisture.
This lake is so wonderful. A good location for whitewater paddling in the neighborhood of James Lake is Marys Creek, and you can go for a hike

In case you don’t mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Bruneau River - West Fork, and don't leave James Lake without first going for a hike along the Cedar Tree Trail. High temperatures at James Lake throughout the months of summer are in the 90's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's. During the winter this place gets highs in the 30's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at James Lake.
