Going for a hike on the Tindall Trail is always a wonderful adventure, as expected you could also go to Long Lake since you're here; it's not far at all. Through the warmest time of the year at James Lake temperatures are mostly in the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 50's. The wintertime brings       highs down to the 30's while the cold winter nights at James Lake are in the 20's. If you want a tremendous time in the great outdoors, just come on down to James Lake. If you're visiting James Lake from Mountain Home, you won't be the only one, and if you've had enough of James Lake, Twin Lakes is nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Batt Trail, and you can run the rapids of Bruneau River - West Fork.
