If you like lakes and you're in this part of Idaho you can check out Island Lake. Summertime highs at Island Lake mostly tend to be in the 80's with overnight lows in the 40's. Highs throughout the wintertime are regularly in the 30's; after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Island Lake sink into the 10's. Stay the night at Powerplant Campground, and if you're here, you could also explore picturesque Arrowhead Lake. The Yuba River Trail

| | offers hiking at its best, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Salmon River.
Be careful coming to Island Lake, you might not ever wanna go home again. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Island Lake; Black Warrior Creek Trail is a perfect local trail; why not take a refreshing hike along the Hot Springs Creek Trail. This lake is so wonderful. you should schedule some time for it if you're here; a pleasant sight of wonderful Blacknose Mountain is available. So much cool stuff to do in the Sawtooth Range, not sufficient time. There's so much to do here at Island Lake that
you need to camp here for a while, Queens River Campground is a good place for that; close by you find The Hole.
An average amount of precipitation falls at Island Lake; January is the wettest month with most snow, and July on
the other hand is the driest. There's no way anybody can get bored here in the Sawtooth Range. Island Lake is located in the Sawtooth Range.
