There's just no way someone can get bored here at Island Lake. Go for a hike on the Blue Bunch Trail. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Island Lake while night lows are commonly in the 40's. All through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Island Lake. Good hiking is available along the Prospect Creek Trail; if you come at the right time of year, Rapid River       offers some nice whitewater. There are pleasant places to discover along the Bear Valley Creek Trail, and do visit Finger Lakes, it's a pretty lake. This lake is so wonderful. Island Lake is a wonderful spot to camp, Thatcher Creek Campground is a wonderful spot; get yourself into a kayak and hit Marsh Creek. This site, the Sawtooth Range, has so much outdoors cool stuff. Camping at Island Lake is good fun, Lola Creek Campground is a good local campground,                  and you get a splendid sight of Langer Peak from here. This lake is one of the great places here in the Sawtooth Range.
