This lake is located in the wonderful Sawtooth Range. Go for a hike on the Blue Bunch Trail, and in the event that you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Marsh Creek. During the months of summer highs here at Island Lake get into the 80's. Through the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's with temperatures at Island Lake       dipping down into the 10's through winter nights. Yeah, come up here to the Sawtooth Range for a good time. Don't leave Island Lake without first going for a hike along the Prospect Creek Trail. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Island Lake has to offer, you can camp at Thatcher Creek Campground. Island Lake gets a typical amount of annual precipitation; January is when you get the most snow here, and July is the month with the least moisture.                  This lake is so wonderful. Rapid River has a delightful whitewater paddling spot nearby, and you can stay the night at Lola Creek Campground. If you go for the outdoors, you'll adore Island Lake. The peak of Langer Peak can be spotted from Island Lake.
