Camping is available at Lola       Creek Campground; going for a hike on the Bear Valley Creek Trail is always a perfect adventure. Island Lake is a good site of normal rainfall; most of the snow falls through January; the driest month of the year is July. This lake is so wonderful. There are good places to explore along the Blue Bunch Trail, and if you came for an overnight stay Thatcher Creek Campground is a good spot to camp. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Rapid River, and you can                  go for a hike on the Prospect Creek Trail. Yep, outdoors cool stuff truly is abundant here in the Sawtooth Range. Throughout the warmest time of the year highs here at Island Lake get into the 80's with overnight lows in the 40's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 30's with temperatures at Island Lake dipping down into the 10's throughout winter nights.
