Go to Iron Lake if you want to go to a nice lake. During the months of summer at Iron Lake temperatures are generally in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 40's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's, and night lows in the 0's for Iron Lake. A pleasant spot to camp here at Iron Lake is Royal Gorge Motel; if you come at the right time of year, Salmon River offers some splendid whitewater. While you're here at

| | Iron Lake you can take a hike along the Twin Buttes Trail; Iron Lake is delightful enough to spend more than a day at, Iron Lake Campground is a delightful local campground.
Iron Lake is pretty dehydrated regularly; the month of June is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month is February. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Salmon River Mountains. Going for a hike along the Singheiser Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this | |

neighborhood; Taylor Mountain can be spotted from Iron Lake. Iron Lake is a beautiful lake in the Salmon River Mountains.
That right there is a heap already, but it continues; Iron Lake has it all. If the weather is pleasant here
at Iron Lake, you can go for a hike along the Birch Creek Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Panther Creek, and a journey to Iron Lake wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Dishrag Spring.
