    It's always fun to stop by Iron Lake. This lake is one of the great places here in the Salmon River Mountains. There are other sites here than Iron Lake, for example Hat Creek Lakes; Panther Creek is a good whitewater spot nearby. If you go for the outdoors you'll go for it here in the Salmon River Mountains. On a fine day at Iron Lake you can take a hike along the Birch Creek Trail; Opal Lake is a wonderful lake nearby.
At Iron Lake you don’t see much
 
   precipitation; the month with most of the rain is June, and February meanwhile is the driest month. A pleasant location for whitewater paddling in the vicinity of Iron Lake is Salmon River; Taylor Mountain is clearly visible from Iron Lake. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Iron Lake has to offer, you can camp at Royal Gorge Motel, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Twin Buttes Trail.

               the Salmon River Mountains, has so much outdoors enjoyable things. Iron Lake is a great place to visit for more than one day, Iron Lake Campground is a great place to camp nearby. During the summer months at Iron Lake temperatures are commonly in the 80's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 40's. Highs during the wintertime are commonly in the 20's while Iron Lake night low temperatures through the winter are in the 0's. That right there is loads already, but it continues; Iron Lake has it all. Going for a hike along the Singheiser Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region, and Dishrag Spring is always fun to check out.
