The warmest time of the year at Independence Lakes arrives with high temperatures in the 80's; during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's while the cold winter nights at Independence Lakes are in the 10's. The skiing at Pomerelle       Mountain is good, and on a nice day you can take a hike along the California Trail. Lake Cleveland is a nearby lake that you could go to. Independence Lakes is regularly a pretty waterless place; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. Don't miss out on a tour to City Of Rocks National Reserve since you're here at Independence Lakes, and there                  are plenty of people from Burley here.
