At Hunt Lake you can catch a glimpse of Chimney Rock Middle Cairn; if the weather is tremendous, you can go for a hike along the White Mountain Trail. During the days of summer at Hunt Lake highs are regularly in the 80's. Summer night lows sink down to the 40's. Highs throughout the wintertime are ordinarily in the 20's with temperatures       at Hunt Lake dipping down into the 10's through winter nights. All the outdoors fun stuff close to Hunt Lake will keep you coming back time and again. Get your pulse rate up on the delightful whitewater of Pack River, and on a fine day you can take a hike along the Chipmunk Rapids National Recreation Trail. A normal amount of precipitation falls here at Hunt Lake; during the month of December you get the most snow around here, and the driest month of the                  year is July. A good place to camp here at Hunt Lake is Indian Creek Campground, and Fault Lake is a great lake nearby. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Schweitzer Mountain Resort is a good spot to spend a night or two, and camping is available at Sundance Village RV Park. The snow is delightful at Schweitzer, and there is a great hiking trail close by called the Hanna Flast Nature Trail. This lake is so wonderful.
