It would be nice to list all the plants and animals occurring in and around the reservoir. For example I just saw a monarch butterfly, 2 great blue herons, pondweed, arrowleaf weed, potamageton cattails, bulrush, a pretty unidentified sunflower all around the lake, squirreltail grass and many immature ducks (difficult to ID). I live close by so I go there quite a bit. A sign for users telling what they are seeing would be nice. There were also 2 immature redtail hawks making lots of noise and hunting over the adjacent fields. Usually there lots of marsh hawks. Soon there should be lots of migratory shorebirds.

I saw these tundra swans on the reservoir 2 days before Thanksgiving 07.

A visit to Hubbard Reservoir is always a good idea. After a long day outdoors Candlewood Suites MERIDIAN is a great place to spend a night or two; Boise Ranch Golf Course is a golf course close by. There are good spots to discover along the Hulls Gulch Nature Trail; folks from Boise City-Nampa love to come here.
Hubbard Reservoir gets very little rainfall; November is the wettest month with most rain, and July on the other hand is the driest. Gotta ski!

| | Bogus Basin is a good site to do that, and there's always Hubbard Dam to stop at right next door to Hubbard Reservoir. Yep, outdoors entertaining things to do are truly abundant here at Hubbard Reservoir. Very wonderful scenery and glorious skiing is what you get at Tamarack. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Hubbard Reservoir has to offer, you can camp at Playground Sports Park.

a nice place to get some rest. There's so much to do here at Hubbard Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Atlanta Cabin - Boise National Forest is a perfect spot for that. For the duration of the warmest time of the year
at Hubbard Reservoir highs are generally in the 90's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's. Highs during the wintertime are frequently in the 30's while Hubbard Reservoir overnight low temperatures throughout the winter are in the 10's.
