     Snake River has a glorious whitewater paddling spot close by, and if you've had enough of Horseshoe Reservoir, Crossroads Reservoir is nearby. Horseshoe Reservoir is pretty waterless frequently; the month with most of the snow is January, and the driest month of the year is July. During the long summer days at Horseshoe Reservoir temperatures are generally in the 80's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's. Throughout  
   the winter this place gets highs in the 20's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Horseshoe Reservoir temperatures sink to the 10's.
Horseshoe Reservoir is a great place to visit for more than one day, Shoshone RV Park is a great place to camp nearby, unsurprisingly you could also have a look at East Artifact Reservoir if you're here; it's not far at all. This lake is so wonderful. In the event that you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always
 
               go whitewater paddling on Wilson River; after a long day outdoors Days Inn Jerome/Twin Falls is a brilliant site to spend a night or two.

There are alot of carp in Murtaugh. The Carp in Murtaugh range from 4lbs to 20lbs and can get very big that the Catfish and Perch dont have any room to grow or live in Murtaugh. If you catch a Carp do not let it go. We want to reduce the carp population and let the Catfish and Perch grow to there normal size....
