If you are in Idaho county it's always a good idea to stop by Horseshoe Lake. You'll really wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool things in the Clearwater Mountains. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always check out close by Brandon Lakes. During the warmest time of the year at Horseshoe Lake highs are usually in the 80's. Creek is a charming stream that is worth going to, and there are perfect spots to discover along the Pilot Knob Trail.
Wildhorse Lake Campground is a good campground here; paddling on Clearwater River - South Fork is so much fun.
Horseshoe Lake is located in the Clearwater Mountains. Around Horseshoe Lake you don’t get a lot of rain; most of the rain falls through May while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
