If you're here at Horseshoe Lake, you could stop by Brandon Creek; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Clearwater River - South Fork. This place is great, just look at all the entertaining stuff to do next to Horseshoe Lake. You'll hit upon a scenic lake called Brandon Lakes near Horseshoe Lake, and going for a hike on the Pilot Knob Trail is       always a splendid adventure. You just have to fancy the Clearwater Mountains. There's whitewater on Salmon River - South Fork for all you adrenaline kick people; there is a nice hiking trail close by called the Reed Bar Trail. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay SUPER 8 MOTEL - GRANGEVILLE is a nice choice; if you came for an overnight stay Wildhorse Lake Campground is a magnificent spot to camp. It is very dried out here at Horseshoe                  Lake generally; through the month of May you get the most rain around here, and February is the month with the least moisture. Horseshoe Lake is located in the Clearwater Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Summertime at Horseshoe Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. Throughout the wintertime highs are ordinarily in the 30's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Horseshoe Lake. At Horseshoe Lake you can spot Quartzite Butte, and while you're here, you could also visit beautiful Shining Lake.
