    Why not stop by Horse Lake if you're passing through these parts. For the period of the months of summer, highs generally are in the 80's at Horse Lake. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's; through the dark hours in the winter at Horse Lake temperatures plunge to the 10's. Camping at Golden Hills Mobile Home Park is always a good experience, and a great view of beautiful Kinport Peak is available.  
   A golf course in the vicinity of Horse Lake is Riverside Golf Course, and dry warm beds await you at Rodeway Inn University.
You just can't envision the amount of outdoors exciting things the area near Horse Lake has to offer. There are other places here than Horse Lake, for example Upper Stump Canyon Reservoir, and camping is available at Sullivan's Mobile Manor. Dead Cow Spring is a stunning location to visit while you're at Horse Lake, and at Horse Lake
 
               you always meet someone from Pocatello. Horse Lake is a location that is rather dried out regularly; the month with most of the rain is May; the driest of the months is July.
This lake is so wonderful. If you need a spot to stay Ramada Inn Pocatello is a wonderful choice; you can run the rapids of Portneuf River. Not far from Horse Lake, you'll stumble on Cedar Well which is a beautiful lake.
