Horse Heaven Lake really is in the middle of a beautiful outdoors paradise. Best Western Salmon Rapids Lodge is a great place to get some rest; if you came to camp Seven Devils Campground is a nice site to do that. Whohoo, so much entertaining stuff in one place! The Wallowa Mountains is unbeatable! Horse Heaven Lake is right by the Deep Creek Trail, and unsurprisingly, this is a perfect vicinity for folks who like       lakes, Dog Lake is a lake in close proximity. At Horse Heaven Lake throughout the summertime months highs are in the 90's. Summer nighttime lows fall down to the 50's. All through the wintertime the highs are generally in the 40's with temperatures at Horse Heaven Lake dipping down into the 20's through winter nights. After a long day outdoors Whitetail Club and Resort is a good location to spend a night or two; the main characteristic in the region is                  the Seven Devils Mountains. Around Horse Heaven Lake you don’t get a lot of precipitation; May is when you get the most rain here, and July meanwhile is the driest month. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors enjoyable stuff the Wallowa Mountains has to offer. There are some great whitewater spots on Snake River, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always take a look at close by Haas Lake. This lake is so wonderful. There's whitewater on Little Salmon River for all you thrill seekers, and do take a look at Mill Creek if you're here at Horse Heaven Lake. This lake is so wonderful. You get a glorious view of Mount Belial from Horse Heaven Lake, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Horse Heaven Lake; Old Boise Trail is a brilliant local trail. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Heavens Gate Trail; Horse Heaven Lake is splendid enough to spend more than a day at, Windy Saddle Campground is a splendid local campground.
