    Many people like to go to Honeymoon Lake. Throughout the warm months at Honeymoon Lake highs are ordinarily in the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. All through the winter highs are in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Honeymoon Lake. Half Moon Creek is a beautiful stream that is worth visiting; whitewater paddling is magnificent on Bear Valley Creek. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun things  
   at Honeymoon Lake. If you came for an overnight stay Velvet Falls Campground is a magnificent site to camp, and there are good sites to explore along the Prospect Creek Trail.
Now, you may believe that's a lot but there's even more cool stuff to do here in the Salmon River Mountains. The Salmon River Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Honeymoon Lake gets a common amount of yearly rain; during the month of January you get the most snow around here; July
 
               on the other hand is the driest.
Camping at Honeymoon Lake is great fun, Boy Scout Camp Campground is a great local campground, and going for a hike on the Sulphur Creek Trail is always a great adventure. And if that's not enough there's a heap more fun stuff to do in the Salmon River Mountains. Ashley Inn is a splendid place to get some rest, and you can go for a hike on the Camptender Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Brundage Mountain has glorious slopes and a friendly staff, and get wet paddling on Salmon River - Middle Fork.
