     Honeymoon Lake is a nice lake to visit. Life's too short to enjoy all the fun stuff in the Salmon River Mountains. Take a hike on the Camptender Trail; soar down the rapids of Bear Valley Creek in a kayak. So much fun stuff in the Salmon River Mountains, just tremendous. Head up to Brundage Mountain and strap some skis to your feet, and some of the water close by flows, like Half Moon Creek. Honeymoon Lake is located in the Salmon River Mountains.
Why not
 
   take a refreshing hike along the Prospect Creek Trail, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Salmon River - Middle Fork. So many amusing things near Honeymoon Lake, completely phenomenal. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Honeymoon Lake; Sulphur Creek Trail is a tremendous local trail; dry warm beds await you at Ashley Inn. Through the summer months, highs typically are in the 80's at Honeymoon Lake. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge  
               down into the 40's. Through the winter highs are in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Honeymoon Lake.
This lake is so wonderful. Honeymoon Lake is a delightful place to visit for more than one day, Tennessee Creek Campground is a delightful place to camp nearby. Lakes are good; Pistol Lake is a lake that's next to Honeymoon Lake. This lake is so wonderful. The amount of rainfall that falls at Honeymoon Lake is close to the national average; the wettest month of the year is usually January, that's the one that snows the most, and July is the month with the least moisture.
Velvet Falls Campground is a pleasant local campground, and needless to say, this is a fine neighborhood for folks who like lakes, Morehead Lake is a lake in the vicinity.

Moderate uphill hike..couple of miles from road; classic rock wall mountain behind lake; nice place to backpack into..day trip or camp overnite; some wild life; hiked in here in summer and early spring when 1 - 2' of snow on ground (and melt was rushing down mountain side beneath snow...flowers growing in ground beneath crystal clear runoff (beneath snow...quite a site).Didn't catch any fish during August trips. Last time I was in there was the 1970's....
