Hjort Lake is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. Yeah, come here to Hjort Lake for a good time. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Lochsa River; you can stay the night at Race Creek Campground. Canteen Meadows is a stunning location any time of year, and not far from Hjort Lake you'll come across Dishpan Lake which is a gorgeous lake. This lake is so wonderful. Hjort Lake is one of the lakes here in the Clearwater Mountains. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Hjort Lake has to offer, you can camp at Race Track Campground, and you can have a brilliant hiking adventure along the Meadow Creek National Recreation Trail. during the warmest time of the year highs are in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. All through the winter highs are in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Hjort Lake. Life's too short
to enjoy all the entertaining stuff in the Clearwater Mountains. You get a wonderful sight of The Crags from Hjort Lake; float down the rapids of Lochsa River in a kayak.
