For the duration of the warm days of summer at Hindman Lake temperatures are typically in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 30's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Hindman Lake temperatures sink to the-10's. Cabin Creek Peak is clearly visible from Hindman Lake; why not camp at Salmon River Campground if you're here at Hindman       Lake. Hindman Lake is mostly a reasonably dried out site; through the month of December you get the most snow around here; the driest month is July. Hindman Lake is one of the lakes here in the Salmon River Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Hindman Lake without first going for a hike along the Yellow Belly Trail, and Salmon River has a great whitewater paddling spot close by.
