     This lake is one of the great places here in the Clearwater Mountains. Having a good time at Highline Lakes is uncomplicated. Highline Lakes is not the only spot nearby, Buck Lake is a nearby lake; whitewater paddling is glorious on Moose Creek. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors exciting things the Clearwater Mountains has to offer.
The annual precipitation here at Highline Lakes is about average; of all the months in a year January is the
 
   one with the most snow, and July meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. If you get bored of Highline Lakes, you could also explore nearby Fawn Lake, and you can stay the night at Cedar Flats Campground. Going for a hike on the Meadow Creek National Recreation Trail is always a nice adventure, and if you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Selway River.
There are great places to discover along the
 
               Nez Perce Trail, and Drake Saddle is another good place to stop at close by. Whohoo, so many amusing things in one place! The Clearwater Mountains is unbeatable! Don't leave Highline Lakes without first going for a hike along the East Boyd Glover Roundtop National Recreation Trail. There's so much to do here at Highline Lakes that you need to camp here for a while, Race Creek Campground is a brilliant site for that. Through the summer here at Highline Lakes, high temperatures generally reach the 80's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's generally in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Highline Lakes.

Red River Campground is in a fairly open flat area with a? creek suitable for bathing running through it. Also fire pits, outhouses and sites spaced far apart for adequate privacy. Some sites have a tree or two nearby for shade....
