If you want a brilliant time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Clearwater Mountains. The Meadow Creek National Recreation Trail is a good hiking trail near Highline Lakes, and Drake Saddle is a pleasant site to stop at. A typical amount of precipitation falls here at Highline Lakes; the month with most of the snow is January; July on the other hand is the driest. Camping       is available at Cedar Flats Campground, and Moose Creek has a delightful whitewater paddling spot nearby. Near Highline Lakes you come across the East Boyd Glover Roundtop National Recreation Trail which is a good hiking trail, and why not camp at Race Creek Campground if you're here at Highline Lakes. High temperatures at Highline Lakes through the summertime months are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 50's. Daytime highs                  throughout the winter are in the 30's, and all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Highline Lakes temperatures dip to the 20's. Highline Lakes is located in the Clearwater Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. There is a tremendous hiking trail near Highline Lakes called the Nez Perce Trail; if you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Selway River.
