So many fun things in the Clearwater Mountains, just impressive. Near Hidden Lake you stumble on the Reed Bar Trail which is a good hiking trail, and there's whitewater on Clearwater River - South Fork for all you adrenaline kick people. Not much rain falls here at Hidden Lake; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. | | of the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 40's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 30's with temperatures at Hidden Lake dipping down into the 20's during winter nights. Man, is there plenty of exciting things to do near Hidden Lake. You'll locate a stunning lake called Twin Lakes near Hidden Lake; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Clearwater River - South Fork. to Hidden Lake is Plummer Point, and Hidden Lake is a wonderful place to visit for more than one day, California Creek Bar Campground is a wonderful place to camp nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Nellie Mountain
Trail is always a magnificent adventure; some nearby water includes Arizona Creek. Long Meadow is a fine place to check out; a delightful nearby hotel is SUPER 8 MOTEL - GRANGEVILLE. Hidden Lake is a beautiful lake in the Clearwater
Mountains. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff in the Clearwater Mountains. There are wonderful places to explore along the Pilot Knob Trail; lakes are such calm sites, why not visit Twin Lakes. This lake is so wonderful. Sourdough Saddle Campground is a great local campground.

 | 13 miles away I have been to fish lake numerous times. Follow Buffalo Hump rd from Oregrande summit, down to Lake Creek. There follow Lake Creek trail about 3 miles or less to Fish Lake. This route is Calender Canyon. An easy walk. Not steep. Beautiful scenery, and when you get to Fish Lake, don't be surprised to see Moose. I have seen 6 at a time on the lake. A special place to me, as I and my late wife used to go there.... |
