If you are in Idaho county it's always a good idea to stop by Hidden Lake. This lake is so wonderful. A fine nearby hotel is Best Western Salmon Rapids Lodge. There are some fine whitewater spots on Clearwater River - South Fork, and some nearby water includes Arizona Creek. This lake is one of the great places here in the Clearwater Mountains.
At Hidden Lake through the days of summer highs are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 40's.

| | For the period of the winter highs are in the 30's; all through the dark hours in the winter at Hidden Lake temperatures descend to the 20's. At Hidden Lake you don’t see much rain; the month with most of the rain is May, and February is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are delightful; Twin Lakes is a lake that's close to Hidden Lake, and nearby you discover the Reed Bar Trail which is a good hiking trail.

has so much outdoors exciting stuff. Go for a hike on the Pilot Knob Trail, and a cool spot to explore is Plummer Point. Be careful coming to Hidden Lake, you might not ever want to return home again. Going for a hike on the Nellie
Mountain Trail is always a great adventure, and you can stay the night at Sourdough Saddle Campground. If you like the outdoors you'll like it here in the Clearwater Mountains. Not far from Hidden Lake, you'll stumble on Twin Lakes
which is a striking lake; Long Meadow is a tremendous place to stretch your legs a bit.
Get yourself into a kayak and hit Clearwater River - South Fork. There's so much to do here at Hidden Lake that you need to camp here for a while, California Creek Bar Campground is a delightful location for that.
