Herrick Reservoir is frequently a rather dried up location; the wettest month of the year is frequently December, that's the one that snows the most; July meanwhile is the driest month. Very glorious water scenery is available at Herrick Dam in close proximity to Herrick Reservoir, and there is a nice hiking trail close by called the Bear Wallow Trail. Summertime highs at Herrick Reservoir ordinarily tend to be in the       80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 40's. Highs through the winter are typically in the 20's, and overnight lows in the 10's for Herrick Reservoir. Whohoo, so much entertaining stuff in one place! The Salmon River Mountains is peerless! If you came to camp Arrowhead Mountain Village is a splendid place to do that, and in case you don’t mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Payette River - North Fork. This lake is so                  wonderful. While you're here at Herrick Reservoir you can take a hike along the Skunk Creek Trail. The Salmon River Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Now, you may believe that's a heap but there's even more cool things to do here in the Salmon River Mountains. Whitewater paddling is splendid on Payette River - Middle Fork, and let's not forget Skunk Creek which is a stream that you may stumble upon while you're here. You truly have to fancy Herrick Reservoir. There's so much to do here at Herrick Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Clear Creek Inn is a splendid place for that, and if you need a location to stay Mccall Super 8 Lodge is a fine choice. This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by nearby East Mountain Reservoir; dry warm beds await you at Ashley Inn.
