There's so much to do here at Herman Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Twin Rivers Canyon Resort is a great site for that, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always visit nearby Perkins Lake. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Herman Lake has to offer, you can camp at Meadow Creek Campground,       and while you're here you can take a hike along the Newton Gulch Trail. Yeah, come here to Herman Lake for a good time. If you need a place to stay Best Western Kootenai River Inn Casino & Spa is a glorious choice, and a tremendous spot to check out is Newton Gulch. If the weather is tremendous here at Herman Lake, you can go for a hike along the Burro Ridge Trail, and you can run the rapids of Yaak River. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Herman Lake while                  overnight lows are regularly in the 40's. For the duration of the winter this place gets highs in the 30's with temperatures at Herman Lake dipping down into the 20's during winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. A tremendous nearby hotel is Rodeway Inn Libby. Lakes are good; Bonner Lake is a lake that's in the vicinity of Herman Lake; going for a hike along the Leonia Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood.
