Hells Canyon Reservoir is a great place to visit for more than one day, Dove Creek Campground is a great place to camp nearby; the beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Cliff Mountain Rapids. If       you want a great time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Wallowa Mountains. A beautiful lake like Hells Canyon Reservoir close to Hells Canyon Reservoir is a fine spot to take a look at, and wonderful water scenery is available at Hells Canyon Dam near Hells Canyon Reservoir. Not much rain falls here at Hells Canyon Reservoir; May is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month of the year is July. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds                  await you at Best Western Salmon Rapids Lodge, and some of the water nearby flows, like Deep Creek. If the weather is tremendous here at Hells Canyon Reservoir, you can go for a hike along the Red Ledge Trail. Summertime brings highs in the 90's to Hells Canyon Reservoir. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 40's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Hells Canyon Reservoir temperatures sink to the 20's.
