The Wallowa Mountains is peerless! Whitewater paddling is wonderful on Wildhorse River, and fine hiking is available along the Sheep Rock National Recreation Trail. This lake is so wonderful. A journey to Hells Canyon Reservoir wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Cliff Mountain Rapids, and why not stop by Hells Canyon Dam since you're here. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Hells Canyon Reservoir,       you could also go to beautiful Hells Canyon Reservoir, and do set aside some time for Pine Flat while you're here at Hells Canyon Reservoir. Hells Canyon Reservoir is one of the lakes here in the Wallowa Mountains. Now, you may believe that's plenty but there's even more fun stuff to do here in the Wallowa Mountains. A fine place to camp here at Hells Canyon Reservoir is Vermillion Bar Campground; hiking is a popular thing to do around Hells Canyon Reservoir;                  Deep Creek Trail is a great local trail. Go for a hike on the Red Ledge Trail, and close by Eagle Bar is a delightful spot to go. All through the warm months, highs ordinarily are in the 90's at Hells Canyon Reservoir. Summer overnight lows fall down to the 50's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 40's, and nighttime lows at Hells Canyon Reservoir through the winter commonly drop into the 20's. This is no spot for people who don’t like to have fun.
