A visit to Heart Lake is always a good idea. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Crestline Trail is always a pleasant adventure. Heart Lake is a beautiful lake in the Salmon River Mountains. It is very dried out here at Heart Lake regularly; all through the month of May you get the most rain around here while July is commonly the driest month.
These mountains rock, just check out all the amusing stuff to do in the Salmon River Mountains. Enjoy

You simply should like the Salmon River Mountains. There are splendid places to look at along the Fall Creek Trail, and if you're here, you could also visit pretty Box Lake. Whitewater paddling is fine
on Payette River - North Fork; why not camp at Black Lee Campground since you're here at Heart Lake. During the warm months at Heart Lake highs are generally in the 90's with night lows in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime
come with highs in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Heart Lake are in the 20's.
If you need a site to stay AmericInn McCall is a magnificent choice, and there is a magnificent hiking trail close by called the Box Lake Trail.
