Yeah, come up here to the Salmon River Mountains for a great time. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes? Sure, Harbor Lake is in the neighborhood; do take a hike on the Ship Island Trail. Summertime highs at Heart Lake commonly       tend to be in the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 40's. All through the winter highs are in the 20's with temperatures at Heart Lake dipping down into the 0's all through winter nights. A good site to camp here at Heart Lake is Crags Campground; there are some magnificent whitewater spots on Panther Creek. Whohoo, so much enjoyable stuff in one place! Heart Lake is unbeatable! Hiking along the Waterfall Trail is tremendous fun, and if you                  come at the right time of year, Camas Creek offers some great whitewater. This lake is located in the wonderful Salmon River Mountains. At Heart Lake you don’t see much rain; the wettest month of the year is regularly June, that's the one that rains the most while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. All the outdoors enjoyable stuff in the Salmon River Mountains will keep you coming back repeatedly.
