It's always fun to stop by Hazard Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Now, you may feel that's lots but there's even more cool stuff to do here in the Salmon River Mountains. Upper Hazard Lake is a nearby lake that you could explore; the Crestline Trail is a fine hiking trail close by. Throughout the summertime months highs here at Hazard Lake reach the 90's while nighttime lows are frequently in the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 40's,

| | and all through the dark hours in the winter at Hazard Lake temperatures drop to the 20's.
This lake is so wonderful. Bruin Mountain is clearly visible from Hazard Lake; if you get bored of Hazard Lake you could also visit close by Hard Creek Lake. Not much rain falls here at Hazard Lake; the wettest month of the year is generally May, that's the one that rains the most, and July meanwhile is the driest month. While you're here at Hazard Lake you can take a hike along the Lava Butte Trail, and after a long day outdoors Whitetail Club and Resort is a glorious site to spend a night or two. You'll need more than a day
to look at everything Hazard Lake has to offer, you can camp at Grouse Campground, and if the weather is good, you can go for a hike along the Broken Leg Trail. That right there is heaps already, but it continues; Hazard Lake has
it all. Stay the night at Hazard Campground; if you need a place to stay AmericInn McCall is a great choice.
Whohoo, so much fun stuff in one place! The Salmon River Mountains is excellent! Big Dave Creek is near Hazard Lake and is always a pleasure to go to, and you can run the rapids of Payette River - North Fork.
