Hazard Lake is ordinarily a quite dehydrated site; through the month of May you get the most rain around here while July is generally the driest month. Yeah, come up here to the Salmon River Mountains for a good time. Big Dave Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth stopping at; if you need a place to stay AmericInn McCall is a pleasant choice. The warmest time of the year at Hazard Lake       arrives with high temperatures in the 90's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. During the wintertime highs are usually in the 40's while Hazard Lake night low temperatures during the winter are in the 20's. There are great sites to look at along the Lava Butte Trail, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Payette River - North Fork. There's so much to do here at Hazard Lake that you need to camp                  here for a while, Grouse Campground is a fine place for that; dry warm beds await you at Western Mountain Lodge. Hazard Lake is one of the lakes here in the Salmon River Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Crestline Trail. Lakes are great; Big Hazard Lake is a lake that's right next door to Hazard Lake. Be careful coming to the Salmon River Mountains, you might not ever want to return home again. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Hazard Lake has to offer, you can camp at Hazard Campground. This spot is great, just check out all the amusing things to do near Hazard Lake.
