If the weather is lovely, you acquire a nice view of Rattlesnake Peak from Hawkins Reservoir; get your pulse rate up on the pleasant whitewater of Portneuf River. The snow is delightful at Pebble Creek, and a splendid close by hotel is Rodeway Inn University. If you're interested in hydro structures, you can stop at Hawkins Dam, and let's not forget Deadwood Creek which is a stream that you                  may encounter during your stay. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Hawkins Reservoir. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's. For the duration of the wintertime the highs are regularly in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Hawkins Reservoir are in the 10's.
