Be careful coming to Hawkins Reservoir, you might not ever want to go back home again. Get dripping wet paddling on Portneuf River, and if you came to camp Summit Campground is a good site to do that. Deadwood Creek is a beautiful stream that is worth going to, and Rattlesnake Peak can be spotted from Hawkins Reservoir. You're perhaps hooked on lakes, Wiregrass Reservoir is one of those nearby, and dry warm beds await       you at TownePlace Suites by Marriott Pocatello. All through the long summer days at Hawkins Reservoir temperatures are typically in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Hawkins Reservoir are in the 10's. After a long day outdoors Rodeway Inn University is a fine location to spend a night or two; lots of folks from Pocatello come here. This lake is so                  wonderful. You can never get enough of the magnificent skiing at Pebble Creek, and there's some attention-grabbing stuff to distinguish at Hawkins Dam near Hawkins Reservoir. This is a great vicinity for folks who like lakes. Daniels Reservoir is a lake close at hand; camping at Scout Mountain Campground is always a great experience. Hawkins Reservoir gets very little precipitation; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily May, that's the one that rains the most while July is frequently the driest month.
