Now, you may believe that's loads but there's even more exciting stuff to do here at Hatchet Lake. There are some magnificent whitewater spots on Salmon River, and on a beautiful day you obtain a good panorama of Merriam Peak from Hatchet Lake. This lake is so wonderful. You'll stumble on a lovely       lake called Shelf Lake near Hatchet Lake, and everyone loves Spring Basin. High temperatures at Hatchet Lake during the long summer days are in the 70's while nighttime lows are frequently in the 30's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Hatchet Lake. Lakes are such serene locations, why not check out Willow Lake close to Hatchet Lake, and why not a little side spree to Boulder Chain Lakes Creek. After                  a long day outdoors SnowRun by ResortQuest is a great spot to spend a night or two. Not much precipitation falls here at Hatchet Lake; the wettest month of the year is regularly December, that's the one that snows the most; the driest month of the year is July.
