Everybody loves Hard Creek Basin, and after a long day outdoors Whitetail Club and Resort is a splendid location to spend a night or two. It is very dried out here at Hard Creek Lake regularly; during May this area sees the most rain; the driest of the months is July. Be careful coming to the Salmon River Mountains, you might not ever want to go home again. There are good places to explore along the Crestline Trail; the       sight of Bruin Mountain is pretty. Hard Creek Lake is a fine location to camp, Hazard Campground is a fine location, and nearby you hit upon the Lava Butte Trail which is a nice hiking trail. Throughout the warm days of summer at Hard Creek Lake temperatures are ordinarily in the 90's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. For the duration of the winter the highs are commonly in the 40's with temperatures at Hard Creek Lake dipping                  down into the 20's throughout winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Grouse Campground, and paddling on Payette River - North Fork is so much fun. This lake is located in the wonderful Salmon River Mountains. That right there is lots of entertaining stuff already but it goes on, the Salmon River Mountains has it all. If you need a spot to stay Western Mountain Lodge is a wonderful choice. Yep, outdoors entertaining things to do are in fact plentiful here at Hard Creek Lake.
