Why not stop by Hard Butte Lake if you're passing through these parts. This lake is so wonderful. A delightful spot to camp here at Hard Butte Lake is Hazard Campground, and there are some great whitewater spots on Hard Creek. Near Hard Butte Lake you come across the Lava Butte Trail which is a delightful hiking trail, unsurprisingly you could also go to Lower Twin Lake if you're here; it's not far at all. Having a nice time at Hard Butte Lake is uncomplicated.
