    If you are in this part of Idaho make sure to pay a visit to Hanson Lakes. Hanson Lakes is one of the lakes here in the Wallowa Mountains. And that's not everything you can do here in the Wallowa Mountains. If you come at the right time of year, Snake River offers some tremendous whitewater, and the Heavens Gate Trail is a great hiking trail nearby. Windy Saddle Campground is a glorious campground here, and Tower of Babel can be seen from Hanson Lakes.
Hanson
 
   Lakes is commonly a reasonably dry place; the month with most of the rain is May; July is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Having a delightful time at Hanson Lakes is trouble-free. If you need a location to stay Western Mountain Lodge is a brilliant choice; on a delightful day you can take a hike along the Old Boise Trail.
Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Little Salmon River, and while you're here,
 
               you could also explore picturesque Appendix Lake. So many amusing things in the Wallowa Mountains, just striking. The Seven Devils Mountains is one of the things that make Hanson Lakes so great, and there is a good hiking trail nearby called the Deep Creek Trail. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Seven Devils Campground is a pleasant place to camp; dry warm beds await you at Best Western Salmon Rapids Lodge.
During the summertime months at Hanson Lakes temperatures are generally in the 90's, and all through the night it cools down to the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are regularly in the 40's, and overnight lows in the 20's for Hanson Lakes.
