Base Camp Campground is a great local campground; if you've had enough of Hamilton Lakes, Swet Lake is close by. Yeah, come here to Hamilton Lakes for a perfect time. Swet Point is clearly visible from Hamilton Lakes, and there are some pleasant whitewater spots on Big Creek. From a rainfall point of view Hamilton Lakes is a quite normal place; January is the month that gets the most snow while July is       regularly the driest month. All year is a pleasant time in the Clearwater Mountains if you go for the outdoors. So much amusing stuff to do here in the Clearwater Mountains, too delightful to be true. Hamilton Lakes is a delightful place to visit for more than one day, Elkhorn Bar Campground is a delightful place to camp nearby, and going for a hike along the Old Nez Perce Indian Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood. This lake                  is so wonderful. There's whitewater on Monumental Creek for all you adrenaline rush seekers, and on a splendid day you can take a hike along the Coyote Springs Trail. You could also visit Swet Lake Pond if you're here at Hamilton Lakes; it's nearby; while you're here you can take a hike along the Farrow Mountain Trail. Through the warm months, highs typically are in the 80's at Hamilton Lakes. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 40's.
