A quick visit to Bighorn Creek close to Gunsight Lake is a perfect idea. Lakes are great; Tin Cup Lake is a lake that's close to Gunsight Lake. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay SnowRun by ResortQuest is a perfect choice; Marshall Creek Campground is a pleasant campground nearby. What a place this is for outdoors       folks. The panorama of Lee Peak from Gunsight Lake is delightful, and if you came for an overnight stay Holman Creek Campground is a good spot to camp. Don’t forget to stop at The Kettles if you're here at Gunsight Lake, and don't leave Gunsight Lake without first checking out Chinese Wall. Through the warm months highs here at Gunsight Lake get into the 70's, and the night is quite cooler of course, generally in the 30's. The winter comes with highs in the                  20's, and after the sun is down throughout the winter temperatures at Gunsight Lake drop into the-10's. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Sun Valley, and if you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Salmon River. This lake is so wonderful. Salmon River - Yankee Fork has a splendid whitewater paddling spot close by, and since you're here, you might as well explore The Gunsight.
