Not far from Green Lake, you'll come across Rim Lake which is a pretty lake; if you came for an overnight stay Lake Walcott State Park is a glorious place to camp. During the long summer days at Green Lake highs are usually in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows drop down to the 50's. Highs through the winter are ordinarily in the 20's with temperatures at Green Lake dipping down into the 0's during winter       nights. It is very waterless here at Green Lake mostly; during January this area sees the most snow; the driest month is July.
