    Go to Granite Lake if you want to go to a nice lake. Near Granite Lake you discover the Fall Creek Trail which is a nice hiking trail, and if you came for an overnight stay Upper Payette Campground is a perfect place to camp. Summertime brings highs in the 90's to Granite Lake with overnight lows in the 50's. For the duration of the wintertime highs are regularly in the 40's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Granite Lake fall into the  
   20's. On a fine day at Granite Lake you can take a hike along the Crestline Trail; Granite Lake Dam is not far at all from Granite Lake.
This lake is so wonderful. If you need a site to stay Brundage Inn Motel is a glorious choice, and drift down the rapids of Payette River - North Fork in a kayak. Not much precipitation falls here at Granite Lake; the wettest month of the year is mostly May, that's the one that rains the most; July is when it's the driest.
 
               Granite Lake beyond doubt is in the middle of a beautiful outdoors paradise. The Box Lake Trail is a good hiking trail near Granite Lake, and dry warm beds await you at Best Western Inn.
Granite Lake is located in the Salmon River Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. This place, the Salmon River Mountains, has so much outdoors enjoyable things. There are other sites here than Granite Lake, for example Ellis Lake; camping is available at Upper Payette Lake Campground.
So many cool things to do in the Salmon River Mountains, not enough time. There's some flowing water close by, East Fork Fisher Creek is a stream you can pop by during your stay, and a tour to Sater Meadows rejuvenates the soul.
