Beautiful Granite Lake has much to offer visitors. For the duration of the summer here at Granite Lake, high temperatures generally get into the 80's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's usually in the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Granite Lake.  | 19 miles away I venture up to Tag Alder every year. It is getting more and more difficult to get up there because of the new growth of trees from the fires of 2000. Once there it is beautiful lake. Another half hour hike up and you will be at the summit of the mountain. There is a nice camp area on North shore.
