    Gooseneck Lake is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. Gooseneck Lake is pretty waterless usually; June is the wettest month with most rain; the driest month of the year is February. The summit of Bighorn Crags can be seen from Gooseneck Lake; this neighborhood is dominated by the Bighorn Crags. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining things in close proximity to Gooseneck Lake. A good spot for whitewater paddling close to Gooseneck Lake  
   is Panther Creek, and Gooseneck Lake is a brilliant site to visit for more than one day, Yellowjacket Campground is a brilliant site to camp nearby.
This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Gooseneck Lake without first going for a hike along the Ship Island Trail; a lake nearby is Heart Lake. If you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Camas Creek; the Clear Creek Trail offers hiking at its best. You absolutely ought to
 
               fancy the Salmon River Mountains. Airplane Lake is a nearby lake that you could go to, and Crags Campground is a glorious local campground.
Man, is there a lot of enjoyable stuff to do in the Salmon River Mountains. There's fine hiking along the Waterfall Trail. This lake is one of the great places here in the Salmon River Mountains. At Gooseneck Lake during the summertime highs are in the 80's while nighttime lows are generally in the 40's. Through the winter the highs are typically in the 20's, and after the sun is down all through the wintertime temperatures at Gooseneck Lake plunge into the 0's.
