    Go to Gooseneck Lake if you want to go to a nice lake. Gooseneck Lake gets very little precipitation; June is the month that gets the most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month. Take a hike on the Waterfall Trail, and if you've had enough of Gooseneck Lake, Airplane Lake is nearby. And if that's not enough there's loads more exciting stuff to do in the Salmon River Mountains.
During the warm months at Gooseneck Lake temperatures are regularly
 
   in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's, and nighttime lows in the 0's for Gooseneck Lake. This lake is one of the great places here in the Salmon River Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Gooseneck Lake is right by the Ship Island Trail, and at Gooseneck Lake you can observe Bighorn Crags.
Just can't get enough of the Salmon River Mountains. Have a wonderful hiking adventure along the
 
               Clear Creek Trail; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Panther Creek. There's so much to do here at Gooseneck Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Crags Campground is a nice place for that, and the Bighorn Crags makes the scenery here wonderful. If you love the outdoors, you'll like Gooseneck Lake. If you came to camp Yellowjacket Campground is a tremendous spot to do that, and there's whitewater on Camas Creek for all you adrenaline rush seekers.
