The landscape around Gooseneck Lake is dominated by the Bighorn Crags. There's so much to do here at Gooseneck Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Crags Campground is a tremendous site for that. If you want a great time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Salmon River Mountains. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Camas Creek, and Glacier Lake is a nearby lake that you could go to. This place, Gooseneck

| | Lake, it absolutely has so much outdoors amusing stuff. There is a delightful hiking trail near Gooseneck Lake called the Ship Island Trail; the summit of Bighorn Crags can be distinguished from Gooseneck Lake. This lake is so wonderful. There are some good whitewater spots on Panther Creek; while you're here, you could also go to striking Crater Lake. and nearby you discover the Waterfall Trail which is a great hiking trail. For the period of the days of summer here at Gooseneck Lake, high temperatures mostly reach the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's.
High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 20's, and nighttime lows at Gooseneck Lake through the wintertime regularly descend into the 0's. These mountains rock, just explore all the exciting things to do in the
Salmon River Mountains. Going for a hike on the Clear Creek Trail is always a delightful adventure. This lake is one of the great places here in the Salmon River Mountains. Gooseneck Lake is commonly a relatively dried up location; June is when you get the most rain here, and February is the month with the least moisture.
