There's no way anybody can get bored here in the Bitterroot Range. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Gold Lake has to offer, you can camp at Spruce Tree Campground, and paddling on St. Joe River is so much fun. Bacon Peak is a peak you can catch a sight of from Gold Lake, and the Cedar Creek Stock Driveway is a glorious hiking trail nearby. Dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Motel       - St. Regis, and get covered with water paddling on Clearwater River - North Fork. A normal amount of precipitation falls here at Gold Lake; January is when you get the most snow here; July on the other hand is the driest. You imagine that's enough? Just getting warmed up. This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always check out nearby Bacon Lake. There's so much to do here at Gold Lake that you need to camp here for                  a while, Hidden Creek Campground is a great spot for that. During the summertime months at Gold Lake highs are ordinarily in the 80's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's generally in the 40's. Throughout the winter this place gets highs in the 30's; nighttime lows through the wintertime for Gold Lake tend to be in the 10's.
