     The yearly rainfall here at Goat Lakes is about average; the month of January is the wettest with most of the snow, and July on the other hand is the driest. Whitewater paddling is pleasant on White Sand Creek, and why not camp at Colt Creek Campground while you're here at Goat Lakes. For the duration of the months of summer highs here at Goat Lakes get into the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 40's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in  
   the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Goat Lakes.
Goat Lakes is one of the lakes here in the Bitterroot Range. You could also explore Battle Lake since you're here at Goat Lakes; it's nearby, and in the event that you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Big Sand Creek. But wait, there's more exciting things to do in the Bitterroot Range. Diablo Spring is an inspiring spot to visit while here; Diablo Mountain
 
               can be seen from Goat Lakes.
This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Hoodoo Lake Campground, and Goat Lakes is not the only spot close by, Duck Lake is a close by lake. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining things near Goat Lakes. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Lost Trail is near Goat Lakes.
