    In Idaho there are many beautiful lakes, Goat Lake is one of them. Goat Lake is one of the lakes here in the Salmon River Mountains. And if that's not sufficient, there's a heap more to do close to Goat Lake. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Goat Lake; Gant Ridge Trail is a tremendous local trail, naturally you could also pop by Cathedral Lake while you're here; it's not far at all. Good hiking is available along the Clear Creek Trail; Goat Lake is a brilliant  
   location to visit for more than one day, Long Tom Campground is a brilliant location to camp nearby.
This lake is so wonderful. A great place for whitewater paddling in the neighborhood of Goat Lake is Panther Creek; Ebenezer Bar Campground is a great local campground. Goat Lake is mostly a rather arid place; the month with most of the rain is June, and February on the other hand is the driest. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Salmon River Mountains.
 
               On a pretty day you acquire a vista of Beehive from Goat Lake, and don't leave Goat Lake without first going for a hike along the Crags Trail.
Panther Creek is a delightful whitewater spot in the neighborhood of Goat Lake; a lake nearby is Deer Lake. Through the summer months at Goat Lake temperatures are generally in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 40's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Goat Lake are in the 0's. All the outdoors cool things in the Salmon River Mountains will keep you coming back persistently.
