The amount of rainfall that falls at Goat Lake is close to the national average; the wettest month of the year is usually January, that's the one that snows the most; the driest of the months is July. And that's not everything there is to do here in the Clearwater Mountains. On a magnificent day at Goat Lake you can take a hike along the Nez Perce Trail; there are other spots here than Goat Lake, for example       Mud Lake. All through the summertime at Goat Lake highs are regularly in the 80's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's. Highs through the wintertime are ordinarily in the 30's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Goat Lake. Just can't get enough of the Clearwater Mountains. Yep, outdoors exciting stuff to do are in fact plentiful here at Goat Lake. From Goat Lake you get a nice sight of Square Rock, and camping is available at Cedar                  Flats Campground. Not far from Goat Lake, you'll locate Square Rock Lake which is a wonderful lake, and paddling on Selway River is so much fun. This lake is so wonderful. The Old Nez Perce Indian Trail is a great hiking trail in the neighborhood of Goat Lake, and glide down the rapids of Moose Creek in a kayak.
