     Goat Lake is a nice lake to visit. The Salmon River Mountains scenery is always beautiful. There's just no way anybody can get bored here at Goat Lake. There's whitewater on Hard Creek for all you adrenaline people, and from Goat Lake you obtain a delightful panorama of Patrick Butte. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 90's to Goat Lake. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 50's. All through the winter the highs are typically  
   in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Goat Lake are in the 20's.
This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Chair Point Look Out is a brilliant choice, and Devils Hole is a tremendous site to check out. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Little Salmon River, and if you came for an overnight stay Spring Bar Campground is a delightful spot to camp. Goat Lake is pretty dehydrated mostly; of all the months
 
               in a year May is the one with the most rain, and the driest month is July.
This spot, the Salmon River Mountains, has so much outdoors fun stuff. Why not camp at Allison Creek Campground while you're here at Goat Lake. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Goat Lake; Lava Butte Trail is a wonderful local trail, and unsurprisingly, this is a wonderful neighborhood for folks who like lakes, Gay Lake is a lake close by. If you love the outdoors you'll love it here in the Salmon River Mountains. After a long day outdoors Salmon River Motel is a splendid location to spend a night or two, and the Broken Leg Trail offers hiking at its best.
