Many people like to go to Goat Lake. If you love the outdoors you'll love it here in the Salmon River Mountains. Near Goat Lake you find the Lava Butte Trail which is a pleasant hiking trail, and a glorious place for whitewater paddling is Hard Creek. Summertime brings highs in the 90's to Goat Lake. the most rain here; July is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Goat Lake, you'll stumble on Mary Lake which is a beautiful lake; you can stay the night at Allison Creek Campground. The Salmon
River Mountains scenery is always beautiful. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Broken Leg Trail is always a magnificent adventure, and get your pulse rate up on the fine whitewater of Little Salmon River.
