Float down the rapids of Salmon River - Yankee Fork in a kayak, and do take a hike on the Yellow Belly Trail. Goat Lake gets very little precipitation; most of the snow falls through December; July on the other hand is the driest. For the duration of the months of summer at Goat Lake highs       are commonly in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 30's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's, and all through the dark hours in the winter at Goat Lake temperatures descend to the-10's. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool things at Goat Lake. This lake is so wonderful.                  If you like skiing, you're in luck; Sun Valley is close to Goat Lake; you're most likely addicted to lakes, Boulder Chain Lakes is one of those close by.
