If you are traveling by, why not stop by Goat Lake. If you came to camp Holman Creek Campground is a fine place to do that, and paddling on Salmon River is so much fun. Float down the rapids of Salmon River - Yankee Fork in a kayak, and do take a hike on the Yellow Belly Trail. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's, and all through the dark hours in the winter at Goat Lake temperatures descend to the-10's. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool things at Goat Lake. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Sun Valley is close to Goat Lake; you're most likely addicted to lakes, Boulder Chain Lakes is one of those close by. Goat Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Marshall Creek Campground is a great local campground, and a wonderful place to go to is Windy Devil.
