Goat Lake is one of the lakes here in the Sawtooth Range. All through the summertime months highs here at Goat Lake get into the 80's while overnight lows are generally in the 40's. Highs all through the wintertime are mostly in the 30's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Goat Lake temperatures descend to the 10's. And that's not everything you can do here in the Sawtooth       Range. A striking lake like Braxon Lake in the neighborhood of Goat Lake is a magnificent site to stop by, and you can run the rapids of Salmon River. An average amount of rain falls at Goat Lake; January is the wettest month with most snow, and July is when it's the driest. Don't you try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a splendid time here at Goat Lake. Hiking along the Yellow Belly Trail is delightful fun; the view of Thompson Peak is wonderful. This lake                  is so wonderful. You'll stumble on a pretty lake called Little Baron Lake near Goat Lake, and Stanley Lake Campground is a great local campground. Goat Lake is right by the Bull Moose Trail, and Goat Falls is an inspiring place to pop by while you're here. Just can't get enough of the Sawtooth Range.
